Our Brain Predicts the Future
People make thousand of predictions subconsciously everyday on the basis of their sun signs, zodiac signs and the role of the different planets in their lives. Many of us pay money also to know more about our future, actually predict the future is little bit difficult or we can say that no one can predicts future.
But if you came to know that your own brain is a fortune teller, then probably you will not believe on this fact. According to the recent research, scientists reveal that our brain is surprisingly an accurate fortune teller, about the unexpected events occur. One of our brain parts i.e. MDS (Mid-brain Dopamine System) provides signals to rest of the brain about the unexpected events.
In this experiment, the brain activity was revealed by fMRI (using Functional MRI) at two critical points- when subjects tried to make their choice and after the feedback immediately on whether their answer is correct or incorrect.
Sometimes you noticed, by watching every day activity unfold around us, we make predictions about what will happen in next few seconds and most of the time we are right as well.
This is all because of consciousness and with the subjective experience of a smooth stream of consciousness, successful predictions can be done.
